With an emphasis on marketing, we will discuss how to build a wider reach on social media through Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn; and in particular, the best ways to make content relevant and useful for each of these platforms for more effective marketing purposes. The course will briefly look at using other social media, including the new Charity Connect website.
The course will also examine why organisations should ensure they have clear policies and guidelines on using social media for all employees and volunteers.
David Green is the director of Green Pepper Consulting, a social enterprise providing support on social media, employment relations, leadership and management skills. He has 25 years of experience on employment relations issues and writing and delivering courses for both commercial and voluntary sector workers. He has sound knowledge of UK employment law and has written booklets on dealing with grievance and disciplinary problems, workplace well-being and a range of employment relations on issues from employment contracts to using social media safely.
