Overview

Big Lottery Reaching Communities application form and guidelines have been changed as of January 2017. This course will cover the new aspects of the application as well as the sections that have remained similar; providing you with guidance on completing your application.

Reaching Communities provides opportunities for voluntary and community organisations to apply for up to 5 years funding for a project. However, success rates are as low as 20%. Increase your chances of success by attending this interactive and practical workshop which will show you how to avoid some of the most common mistakes when writing an application and provide you with hints and tips on how to demonstrate need and impact.

Trainer details:

Karon Phillips has 20 years voluntary sector management and fundraising experience. In 2010 she founded Citrus Consultancy; and since then she has worked with a wide range of social welfare organisations including national and small local voluntary organisations.

Over the past fifteen years Karon has developed exceptional skills in writing successful funding applications to the Big Lottery. In the past six years Karon has secured £5million in grants for eight organisations.

Who should attend?

Staff, volunteers, or Trustees who are responsible for producing a Reaching Communities stage one application. The course is suitable for people who have begun the application and for those who are looking to start in the near future.
