National Volunteers’ Week, 1st – 7th June ‘You Make the Difference’

To mark this year’s National Volunteers’ Week, the Volunteer Centre went out and about across the county talking to members of the public about volunteering and how to get involved. We ran workshops as well as taking time to chat to commuters in the train station and visitor’s to Abingdon’s Fun and Music in the Park. We also held a photo competition, inviting groups to send in photos of their volunteers in action, making a difference and having fun. We had over 60 entries and 10 winning images have now been chosen to form the banner of our new county wide volunteering website to be launched later this year.

Take a look at the winning images below and check out our infographic to learn more about the impact we had in National Volunteers’ Week 2017!

We’ll be planning for 2018 before you know it, so do get in touch if you have ideas for events you would like us to run. Email vol@ocva.org.uk or call 01865 251946.
