Visit the countywide volunteering website Oxonvolunteers.org. This website is designed to link you to your perfect volunteering opportunity as well as providing one central place for groups to advertise their wonderful opportunities.
Click here to register and search for opportunities by keyword, activity, or cause. It’s as simple as that!
We update this regularly with news of charities in need, photos celebrating your efforts and other relevant information. Feel free to use this space to tell us about the amazing volunteering you are doing, so that we can celebrate it!
If you need any further help or support in securing your ideal volunteering opportunity or need a little inspiration, we offer 1-1 support. These can be in-person, via e-mail or over the phone. We can help you talk through what sort of volunteering you would like to do, get you registered on our volunteering brokerage site- oxonvolunteers.org , identify at least three possible volunteering opportunities and provide you with contact details for possible volunteering roles. Face to face sessions are generally between 30- 60 minutes (depending on your needs and the level of support you require). Please note these sessions are for people who live in the City of Oxford, South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse. If you live in West Oxfordshire, contact Volunteer Link Up. If you live in Cherwell, contact Volunteer Connect.
OCVA believe that volunteering must be inclusive, so run some one-to-one volunteer appointments for volunteers with additional support needs (on a self-defined basis). To register interest in a one-to-one appointment, give us a call on 01865 251946, or email vol@ocva.org.uk.
