National Volunteers’ Week takes place 1-7 June every year and is an opportunity to celebrate and say thank you for the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.

Although it’s more important than ever to recognise and support volunteers, we’ve decided it would be inappropriate to go ahead with many of the things we’d usually do around this time.

Like many across the volunteering sector, the focus is on supporting volunteers to take on coronavirus-related volunteering roles to help communities cope with the many consequences of coronavirus.

The Volunteers’ Week website is packed with ideas, resources and volunteering stories to help you plan and promote your local events.

OCVA is going one better and using the whole of June to showcase the range of volunteering opportunities on offer throughout Oxfordshire. So now is the time to start thinking of ideas and planning your campaigns. Once you have done that let us know and we will promote it. Email: pulse@ocva.org.uk
