Introduction to Social Media for Charities

Social media is now the biggest source of internet traffic worldwide – it has already transformed the way society communicates, and how charities of all sizes raise their profiles, inspire supporters and reach the communities they serve.

Yet for those brand new to using social media, it can feel very overwhelming knowing how to use and understand these tools!

This workshop is designed for those exploring setting up social media for their organisation, or whose organisations have it but are completely new to using it themselves.

Please note that this is a beginner level course. If you already have some familiarity with using social media then a more advanced course would be more suitable for you.

What will I learn?

This workshop is an opportunity to:

  • Find out what opportunities social media can offer your organisation
  • Learn how similarly resourced charities have used it effectively
  • Learn how to practically use each of the main platforms
  • Lots of opportunities for your own questions and trying things out
