You are invited to the launch event of the Rural Oxfordshire Network (RON). This new networking forum is for those living and working in rural Oxfordshire. The event is organised by OCVA and partners including Community First Oxfordshire, the Diocese of Oxford, Volunteer Link Up and the Oxfordshire Association of Local Councils. This first event will focus on rural crime and community resilience, and future events will tackle a range of topics.
The event will be chaired by Julian Cooper
Julian is a trustee of Community First Oxfordshire and has served on Oxfordshire County Council (2001-2005), West Oxfordshire District Council (1986-2006 then 2010 till the present day) and Woodstock Town Council (since 1984). He has been Chairman of West Oxfordshire Planning Committee, Vice-Chairman of the County Council Planning Committee and Mayor of Woodstock, three times. He is currently the English Vice Chairman of the Local Authority World Heritage Forum and has served on the South East Regional Planning Conference and Oxfordshire Community Health Council. He is also Chairman of Woodstock Youth Club. Julian works as a life assurance salesman.
