With our increased work loads we are often short on time to attend meetings. Meetings provide a good base of information but too often the meetings we have attended have been poorly prepared, badly chaired, we find the discussions do not lead to or generate clear actions and valuable time is lost in terms of progress. This session will provide you with the information and skills you need to ensure you can run meetings that are prepared, structured and produce results
What will I learn?
By the end of this session you will:
- Know the role of the chair
- Obtain an overview of what an effective meeting is
- Know how to prepare for the meeting
- Be able to obtain a consensus from the group with clear actions
- Confidently deal with difficulties that may arise in meetings
Benefits to you
You will leave the session with confidence and tips for chairing meetings that are structured and provide clear actions.
