Are you new to social media? Do you need help setting up a variety of social media platforms? Then this workshop is for you!
This session will examine what is meant by social media, the many different types and their significance. Then, using practical demonstrations, we will look at how to set up Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, learn how to find friends/followers; and consider the main ways and reasons to use them.
One of the key areas this course will determine the best way of staying safe by considering account settings, and avoiding unsuitable or unlawful material.
David Green is the director of Green Pepper Consulting, a social enterprise providing support on social media, employment relations, leadership and management skills. He has 25 years of experience on employment relations issues and writing and delivering courses for both commercial and voluntary sector workers. He has sound knowledge of UK employment law and has written booklets on dealing with grievance and disciplinary problems, workplace well-being and a range of employment relations on issues from employment contracts to using social media safely.
