The course covers the advantages and disadvantages associated with raising funds from local communities, managing volunteers, including legal and regulatory, developing a community fundraising strategy, where community fundraising fits into the broader fundraising strategy, volunteer recruitment and motivation, practical event planning and management, return on investment and how to measure success.
By the end of this session you will:
Kathy Roddy has been a fundraising trainer and consultant for the past 17 years. Prior to that, she was Executive Director of a national animal welfare organisation. Kathy is a certified member of the Institute of Fundraising and holds the Certificate in Fundraising Management. She has recently co-authored an MA module entitled ‘The Art and Science of Fundraising’ which is part of the MA in Philanthropy run through the Centre for Philanthropy at the University of Kent.
You will leave the session with some practical tools to ensure you have the ability and confidence to create a diverse income strategy.
This session is appropriate for any organisation members who are responsible for generating income.
