This session will help trustees to understand their role and come up with some practical actions they can take to ensure that they both safeguard the charity’s assets and ensure they are used effectively. This session will be useful for new trustees, those who have taken on the role of treasurer or chair and those who wish to refresh their knowledge.
By the end of this session you will:
Rachel Eden has trained staff, volunteers and partners since 2007. As a qualified management accountant, former chair of a school finance committee and a small business owner, she combines theoretical understanding with practical insight. Rachel aims to ensure that participants experience a real improvement in performance as a result of working with her as well as finding training stimulating and interesting. as well as being a published author and public speaker.
You will leave the session with some practical tools to ensure you have the ability and confidence to deal with the finances as a trustee of a small voluntary organisation.
