Having a good understanding of emergency paediatric first aid is incredibly important for the safety of children and it could mean the difference between life and death.
The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) qualification has been designed in-line with the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements. It is ideal for anyone who cares for infants and children or those who have gained a level 2 or 3 qualification and would like to be include in the staff to child ratios to comply with EYFS requirements.
Successful candidates will learn the roles and responsibilities of the emergency paediatric first aider, and will be equipped with the necessary skills to administer safe and effective treatment when dealing with a range of paediatric first aid situations. This includes performing CPR and controlling external bleeding.
Candidates undertake practical assessments during the course plus a multiple choice exam at the end of the course.
On successful completion of the course, candidates will achieve a Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid from Qualsafe. The qualification is valid for 3 years but annual refreshers are considered best practice. The qualification meets Ofsted requirements and is Ofqual regulated.
The course costs £95 per person inclusive of exam and registration fees. Delegates will also receive a Qualsafe Paediatric First Aid book.
