Plan Your Evaluation

Nowadays, it is vital for charities to describe the changes that result from their work and the potential long-term benefits to society.

When defining a funded project, it is essential to understand the issue your work will address and identify the difference your organisation wants to make. This is the first important step in defining the impact you are making and how to evaluate your work.

The aim of this course is to help you create an evaluation framework for initiatives, develop a tracking system to monitor progress against targets and communicate your project’s purpose and impact to funders and stakeholders.

What will I learn?

By the end of this session you will have learnt:

  • Understand the evaluation cycle and how it aligns to your objectives
  • To discuss different evaluation tools and decide which best fits your purpose
  • How to develop a monitoring framework and methods for collecting data
  • To prepare an evaluation plan for your organisation or project
  • How to use the evaluation methodology to plan new work, communicate what you do to funders and analyse what improvements you can make to your programmes and services.
