We provide accredited and non-accredited sessions on group development, funding, volunteer recruitment and management plus practical qualifications and useful courses on administration, management and social media. Our training sessions also provide a basis for networking which is encouraged both before and during the sessions.
Why not become a member of OCVA for further discounts on non-accredited courses?
Our courses and events are open to anyone – whether you are a paid worker, a volunteer, a management committee member, or a service-user. Courses are also open to individuals who are trying to set up a group in their community.
If you have any particular access requirements (for example disabled parking space, carer attendance, translation) please let us know in advance – we will try to cater for your needs. To check public transport options contact ‘Traveline’ on 0870 608 2 608 or visit traveline.org.uk
As part of the improvements to the training service we deliver, we are now focussing on moving some of our training sessions to different areas of the county. This is designed to provide an opportunity for those in areas outside of the city centre to attend training more easily. Keep checking the courses on the training page to see which courses will be happening near you!
