Meetings can be a valuable and effective asset if used appropriately; with clear direction and purpose. This interactive half day course will cover the essential elements of planning and carrying out your meeting, from the preparation through to the future planning. It will also help to identify your preferred style/role at meetings which will allow you to understand others behaviours in a team or meeting situation.

The aim of this session is to provide you with the information and skills you need to ensure that you can run meetings that are well prepared, produce results and identify key actions. It will also enable you to contribute more effectively to meetings.

What will I learn?training

  • Obtain a better understanding of different styles of behaviours at meetings
  • Obtain an overview of what makes effective meetings

  • Confidently deal with difficulties that may arise in meetings
  • Learn more about minute taking/action points
  • Be able to obtain consensus from the group with clear actions

Angela Cristofoli is Business Development Officer at OCVA.  She has worked previously in Public Health and Health Promotion in the Health Service and several Local Authorities.  Her work has involved working with many different community groups and organisations.
