Trainer details

Tariq Khandoker is the Development Officer / Volunteer Centre Coordinator at OCVA. He has previously worked in the North of England with a number of charities and social enterprises over a 15-year period. First as a Funding Officer and then as a Development Officer (on governance issues) and eventually as an Operations Manager with an infrastructure organisation and subsequently with a social enterprise. In his current role at OCVA, he works to raise the profile of volunteering and helps organisations to achieve their outcomes through the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers. This involves helping organisations promote their work and their volunteering opportunities through print and electronic media as well as managing Oxfordshire’s premier volunteering brokerage site “oxonvolunteers.org”. He also actively engages with prospective volunteers, helping them to build their confidence and skill set in order to secure their ideal volunteering role.
