Overview
Conflict is an inevitable part of everyday life. It is often also experienced as negative, worrying, exhausting, painful, destructive and – at worst – dangerous. It can be particularly stressful in small organisations that rely on cooperation and commonality of view. However, it can also have positive effects.
This workshop will be held online via Zoom and will focus on how conflict arises, what mechanisms are involved and how it might give rise to creative possibilities for change. Participants will practise using some basic tools and techniques to help achieve this in their work with clients and colleagues.
What will I learn?
By the end of the session you will be able to:
- Describe how conflicts can become embedded
- Describe behaviours commonly associated with embedded conflicts
- Describe – and practise using – three processes that may be employed to turn conflict into creative opportunities
Benefits to you
You will leave the session with increased confidence and practical ideas of how to deal with conflict
Who should attend?
Interpersonal conflict is a fact of life. This short workshop will be of interest to anyone who wants to think more about ways to approach the management of conflict in any environment. It is a participative workshop.
