Overview

Trustees are usually volunteers who take on the legal responsibility of an organisation. They are tasked with providing strategic direction to an organisation through good governance. This course will give you an understanding of your role and responsibilities in regards to fundraising challenges within an organisation.

What will I learn?

By the end of this session you will:

  • Understand the role and what you are responsible for
  • Know where to go to get information and support to help you in your role as a trustee
  • Understand how to monitor fundraising activities and techniques
  • Understanding of how to fundraise from individuals

Benefits to you

You will gain a better understanding for the role, as well as an understanding of your responsibilities as a fundraiser. You will have an opportunity to meet with other fundraisers and trustees and share experiences and knowledge about advice and support.

Who should attend?

The course is aimed at new trustees or anyone who wants to know more about their responsibilities as a fundraising trustee, and how to go about the role.

Alternatively you can park in one of the City Centre car parks such as Gloucester Green, Oxpens, Oxford Train Station or Worcester Street.
