Oxfordshire Community & Voluntary Action

What is the Volunteer Coordinator Forum?

The Volunteer Coordinator Forum is a space for volunteer coordinators and managers across Oxfordshire to come together, learn, share and support one another.

The meetings are monthly and are delivered hybrid. Online meetings last around an hour with a speaker, OCVA and volunteering update as well as a chance to ask other coordinators questions or share learning. In person meetings tend to be longer and include a presentation from the speaker or host, time for discussion and networking.

Who attends?

Anyone who looks after, or manages, volunteers across Oxfordshire. This is someone in a paid or voluntary role.

What sort of speakers do we have?

Speakers vary and have included members of the university community, other charity leaders, the local colleges, the DWP, those with specialisms in marketing, social media, advice, finance and data.

June’s meeting

June’s forum was a busy one as we welcomed Emma from Reducing the Risk. Emma shared a comprehensive presentation on the work of the charity and how to get involved with being a DA friend.

July’s meeting

July’s meeting will be in-person at Steeple Aston. Hosted by Richard from the Valentine Club, this forum will give space for networking, discussion and hearing about the club and their work with volunteers.
