Volunteer Co-ordinators Forum

OCVA organise a monthly Volunteer Co-ordinators Forum. If you have responsibility for managing or co-ordinating volunteers within Oxfordshire, then this forum is for you!

This informal group enables Volunteer Managers and Co-ordinators to come together to share experiences and skills, while offering some ongoing learning opportunities. It is open to any voluntary and community sector organisation in Oxfordshire.

The next Volunteer Co-ordinator Forum

Wednesday 5th August

1-2pm, online

The NHS Volunteering Service will speak to us about how it supports eligible charities and non-profits in the health and wellbeing sector, using their free, national platform. The session will share information on how this service can complement existing recruitment methods and work alongside any additional approaches your organisation already uses to attract those volunteers who want to work in the health and wellness sector.

Future Dates

Wednesday 9th September

1-2pm, online

We will be joined by Rhys from Fedcap, an employability charity working to help people find sustainable and rewarding work through the Restart Scheme. Rhys is joining to discuss their Youth Mentoring Pilot Project which is looking to pair up volunteers from the local community and a young person on the Restart Scheme to develop their confidence, open them up to new opportunities and help inspire them on their job seeking journey.

Please email Maya to suggest agenda items, speakers, share information or ask for support needs in future meetings.
