Job title: Casual Museum Learning Facilitator 
Role summary:
The Museum of Oxford is looking for a Casual Museum Learning Facilitator to lead workshops for our schools and other groups at the Museum of Oxford, located in Oxford Town Hall.
Working within our learning team, you will be responsible for setting up, delivering and clearing up for group workshops on site at the Museum of Oxford, and online in schools workshops that are delivered digitally.
As a Casual Museum Learning Facilitator, you will be the face of the Museum of Oxford for our schools and other groups and this role is vital to ensuring the museum operates to its full potential and students and teachers leave having had an enjoyable experience.
Job location (usual place of work): MUSEUM OF OXFORD, OXFORD TOWN HALL
Pay Rate: £15.36 per hour (Incl £1.65/hour for additional entitlements)

Job description:
• To prepare for the workshops, including the set-up of furniture, handling collections and PowerPoint presentations.
• To communicate with teachers and other group leaders during their visit to the Museum of Oxford.
• To deliver learning sessions using our handling collections and galleries onsite at the Museum of Oxford and online from the museum.
• To support external facilitators to deliver workshops in the museum’s spaces.
• To clear up from workshops, including the return of collections to storage and clear up after lunch bookings.
• To work with volunteers in the galleries supporting the learning sessions at the museum.
• To fully engage with the training process for the museum’s learning sessions, including a good understanding of health and safety and safeguarding around the activities being delivered..
• There may be opportunities to support other areas and activities in the museum, depending on experience.
• The post holder will join the museum’s casual register of Learning Facilitators. He/she will be paid for the hours they work.
