Bullingdon Community Connections Steering Group Update

July 21, 2026

Last week supporters and staff from the Bullingdon Community Connections Project gathered, welcoming new members from HMP Bullingdon and Oxfordshire Probation service.

Bullingdon Community Connections is supported by a steering group of interested parties, who meet regularly to track the success of the project.

The latest meeting provided a valuable opportunity to review the project’s progress, exploring attendance data, funding, evaluation and the impact it is having. It was particularly encouraging to hear how the Departure Lounge is supporting men as they leave prison, with clear evidence that the service is helping to reduce recalls. It was also useful to hear about the next phase of this project, which has been running since 2022, and how the initiative is being shared in other prisons to support similar work.
