In Kind Direct is a charity that works to tackle hygiene poverty by distributing essential products like toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, period products, toilet roll, laundry supplies and household cleaning items to those who may otherwise struggle to afford them.
This autumn and winter, Oxfordshire County Council is funding In Kind Direct to enable community and voluntary sector groups working with low-income families to access these kinds of products – both to give out to households who need them, and to run their own activities and services.
For the first allocations they are particularly keen to connect with groups working with families in and adjacent to the following Lower Layer Super Output Areas:
- Cherwell 004A – Banbury Grimsbury
- Cherwell 005B, 005F – Banbury Ruscote
- Oxford 016A and 016F – Littlemore & Rose Hill
- Oxford 017B – Blackbird Leys
- Oxford 018A, 018B and 018C – Greater Leys
- Vale of White Horse 008C – Abingdon South
- West Oxfordshire 009A – Witney West
