Training and development

Why train with us?

We are proud to deliver a variety of accredited and non-accredited training and development courses. We also offer learning opportunities and networking events to those working in the community and voluntary sector across Oxfordshire.

Our courses and events aim to improve skills, knowledge and confidence, leading to personal and career development. They are delivered by a friendly team of internal and external experts who have an understanding of the issues that affect the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.

training and development

We offer online and in-person sessions on group development, funding, volunteer recruitment and management, as well as practical qualifications and useful courses on administration, management and social media. Our training sessions also provide a basis for networking which is encouraged both before and during the sessions.

Who can attend OCVA training?

Our courses and events are open to anyone from a non-profit organisation in Oxfordshire – whether you are an employee, a volunteer, a management committee member, or a service-user. They are also open to individuals who are trying to set up a group in their community.

How much does training cost?

We offer high-quality training from experienced trainers at a reduced cost, or free, to make our training sessions accessible to all.

Why not become a member of OCVA for further discounts on non-accredited courses?

*Training is VAT exempt.
