Effective management of grants and multi-funding streams

Most organisations are financed through grants and other external funding sources.

This course is designed to enable those involved with managing grants and external funding to become more efficient and effective in the financial management of such funds. 

This course is designed to equip the participants with best practices and essentials skills in effective grants/external funding management.

This course will be held online using Zoom.

What will I learn?

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Ensure compliance with funder requirements in terms of managing grants/external funding
  • Address the critical aspects of managing grant finances
  • Understand how to effectively report grants management progress to relevant Managers/Trustees
  • Understand the difference between various types of funding (Unrestricted or general funds/Restricted funds/Designated funds/Endowment funds)

Trainer Profile

This course will be delivered by Rachel Eden, ACMA.  Rachel is a director of Holy Brook Associates a practice with a specialism in charity accounts. Rachel is a qualified accountant and member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. She delivers a wide range of technical training for accountants and for the voluntary sector.

Who should attend?

This training is designed for grants management officers/managers, budget administrators, financial managers and project managers of externally funded projects.

  • £45 per person for OCVA Members
  • £60 per person from a charitable organisation who are not OCVA members
  • £75 per person from a non-charitable organisation
