Building on a successful first event for groups supported through Well Together and the Community Insight Profiles grants, we moved north from Caldecott to Littlemore.
Rachel, Jane, Lisa and Vicki from Well Together worked with Alexa, Community Health Development Officer, from Oxford City Council to organise a training and networking event in Littlemore Village Hall.
After initial chats over tea and coffee, Lisa from Community First Oxfordshire, ran an Asset-Based Community Development training session.
More residents, group organisers, and activity coordinators joined for a networking lunch, provided by OCA Kitchen. The final part of the event was a group discussion led by Rachel. Starting with individual introductions, this led onto discussing aspects of work in the area and sparked new connections.
“It was really useful to find out what others are doing, although we try to keep well connected there are certainly some groups we didn’t know about.”
Thanks to everyone who came, and to our fellow organisers who collaborated with Well Together on running the collaboration event, particularly Maggie, one of the trustees at the village hall who was such a welcoming host.
We look forward to getting together again at future events.
Well Together is being delivered in partnership by OCVA and Community First Oxfordshire and has been funded by the NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (NHS BOB ICB).
