Match My Project: Answering the questions and spreading the word

November 19, 2025

Jenny Bowley, our deputy CEO, hosted a Match My Project webinar last week to support Oxfordshire charities to learn more about the platform and find out how it could help them.

Match my project

The webinar was attended by over 20 people representing groups across the county and were curious in finding out more about the platform. James Marshall, Senior Economy Projects Officer from Oxford City Council gave a presentation on the website and how it supports the connection between businesses and non-profit groups.

How does it work?

Match My Project gives charities the opportunity to post projects to the site and businesses, often procured through the council can offer to support through skills, resources, funding, training or jobs. Businesses can also offer support, and we heard about how a local architect group had supported a green project in designing outdoor space.

Susanna from Match My Project was up next and talked through the functionality of the site, how to create an account and add a project and how to view offers from businesses. There were many questions from our participants about how they could use the site effectively, especially if they were located outside of the city.

We discussed how other users of the platform are also working in Oxfordshire and specifically housing associations Peabody, Sanctuary, Sovereign Network Group and A2Dominon. It is possible to register with one account and then request access to each of these providers. Projects can be shared to different providers as needed.
