OCVA: Welcoming a new Chair to the Board

February 10, 2026

After more than 10 years, David Agnew is stepping down as Chair and Trustee at OCVA.

David has been with us through many moments of change, including the challenges of Covid, the appointment of Laura as CEO at the end of 2020 and a transformed team of staff.

Throughout it all, he has been a steady, thoughtful presence, always keeping OCVA’s purpose and the needs of the voluntary and community sector front and centre. He steps away at a time when the organisation is in a good place, with strong partnerships and a clear mission to raise the profile of local infrastructure support and the impact it has. We want to say a huge thank you to David for everything he has given to OCVA. His time, insight and long-term commitment have made a lasting difference, and we are incredibly grateful. Although he is stepping down, he will always be part of our team.

Robert Buckeldee

We are also really pleased to welcome Robert Buckeldee as our new Chair of Trustees. Robert has been a trustee for the past three years and has been a strong supporter of OCVA’s work, bringing clear thinking, constructive challenge and a real passion for the voluntary sector. He has also been an important public-facing advocate for OCVA, helping to build relationships and raise our profile. We are excited to be starting this next chapter with Robert as Chair.

Thank you, David, and welcome to the role, Robert.
