The Stanley Smith (UK) Horticultural Trust provides grants to support horticultural projects that deliver public benefit, mainly in the UK.
Funding can support a range of activity, including the creation, development and restoration of gardens, plant study field trips, publications, horticultural research and training. The Trust has awarded more than £3.2 million to over 1,000 recipients since it was established in 1970.
Grants are normally awarded twice a year, with the next application deadlines being the 15 August. The maximum grant available is £5,000, although smaller applications, including requests under £500, are welcomed. Typical grants are usually around £3,500 to £5,000.
