As we come to the end of the summer, we have said farewell to our CEO Laura.
Laura has been with OCVA nearly six years, joining the charity at a time of high demand due to Covid, and she has taken the charity to a new level. Starting with a team of 5 and leaving with a team of 11 is no mean feat in the current economic climate. Laura has tirelessly promoted the work of OCVA and made sure that infrastructure is valued. She has also broadened the focus of OCVA through our work on health inequalities and in the justice sector through Bullingdon Community Connections. OCVA is a stronger organisation at the end of her tenure and that is a great legacy. We will miss her but know she will do great things in her next charity leadership role.
While the Trustee Board of OCVA moves through the recruitment cycle, our Deputy CEO Jenny Bowley will step into the interim CEO post. Jenny has been with OCVA for three and a half years, with great experience in infrastructure support, working in volunteering and governance for many years. Jenny and the staff team remain focused on building on the strong foundations that Laura leaves behind.
