Job title: Didcot Mentoring Lead 
Role summary:
TRAIN – Inspiring Young People is looking for a Didcot Mentoring Lead to deliver early intervention support for young people aged 10–18 across local schools, running 1:1 and group mentoring on goal-setting, healthy relationships, emotional regulation, educational engagement and positive choices, while building strong relationships with schools and partners and contributing to TRAIN’s wider youth work, including outreach, youth clubs and trips. We’re looking for someone passionate about supporting under-served young people, confident building rapport and managing challenging behaviour, and committed to safeguarding good practice, with a full UK driving licence; applicants needn’t meet every criterion to apply.
Job location: DIDCOT
Pay Rate: £29,542-£32,578 (FTE)

Job description:
– Focus on early intervention for young people. Help young people with goal-setting, healthy relationships, emotional regulation, educational engagement and making positive choices.
– Develop and deliver consistent and nurturing mentoring provisions across all of the secondary schools in Didcot and the primary schools in and around Didcot, providing young people with the much needed 1:1 and group support which you will be able to tailor to their individual needs.
– Ensure that our mentoring provision continues to evolve and that sessions evolve to meet young people’s ever-changing needs.
– Build meaningful rapport with the young people through an approach grounded in the principles of informal education, voluntary engagement and consistency.
– Building excellent relationships with our schools and stakeholders
– Comfortable engaging with young people in our other varied settings as required.
