The Connected Communities Fund returns for its 5th year, thanks to funding from Oxfordshire County Council, with £270,000 available to award to charitable organisations and community groups.
This fund supports grassroots organisations to access flexible, accessible funding and ongoing support, with the aim of expanding activities and opportunities in the community that benefit older people (65+) and adults (18+) with additional needs.
It’s part of The Oxfordshire Way, a countywide vision to help people live well and independently in their communities for as long as possible. It’s about building resilience, reducing isolation, and helping people stay active and connected through local group activities that also support the management of disabilities and long-term health conditions.
Last year, 86 grassroot community groups received support across Oxfordshire, in a wide range of activities ranging from Arts & Culture to Community Socialising.
What’s available?
Grants of up to £5,000 per project. Support for projects that help people in Oxfordshire live well, stay active, and remain connected in their communities, with the fund focusing this year on prioritising rural areas and activities for Older People 65+.
