  • We have a constitution or governing document (signed and dated).
  • We have at least 3 unrelated management committee members.
  • We hold regular meetings and keep minutes/records.
  • We have a clear decision-making process.

  • We have a safeguarding policy (if working with children or vulnerable adults).
  • We have an equal opportunities policy.
  • We have a data protection policy (GDPR compliance).
  • We have a health & safety policy (if applicable).

  • We have a group bank account with at least two unrelated signatories.
  • We keep basic financial records (income/expenditure).
  • We have an annual budget or financial plan.
  • We can provide annual accounts (even if simple).

  • We have a clear purpose/vision (what we exist to do).
  • We can describe beneficiaries (who benefits from our work).
  • We have identified local needs or evidence of demand.
  • We can explain our activities and expected outcomes.
  • We can measure and report on impact.
  1. Readiness for Funding Applications
  • We can write a basic project plan (what, when, how, who).
  • We have costed budgets for projects.
  • We know who will be responsible for managing the grant.
  • We are able to provide references, endorsements, or community support letters.
