Being a Trustee

What is a Trustee?

Trustees are a group of people who have the overall legal responsibility for a charity. Trustees make important decisions regarding the running of a charity. Individual Trustees often have specific responsibilities too like managing the finances,  HR guidance, marketing etc.

You should choose charities that work for causes you feel passionate about. You can approach organisations yourself expressing your interest. Or head to Oxon Volunteers where there are Trustee roles advertised on a regular basis.

You can read some Trustees experiences and the advice they have shared with us.
