The Shanly Foundation provides grants to local charities and community organisations working in Oxfordshire and other areas within its awards area.
The Foundation supports a wide range of causes, including community projects, health and disability, children and young people, homelessness, environmental work, and projects that benefit disadvantaged local people. It offers three grant programmes: the General Applications Fund, the Training & Careers in Construction Fund, and the Action Against Homelessness Fund.
No fixed grant amount is published. Organisations can apply to one Shanly Foundation fund per year.
Oxfordshire charities and community organisations may be eligible to apply if they are working within the Foundation’s awards area. Organisations based outside the area may also apply if more than 50% of their beneficiaries live within it. Applicants must have been operating for more than 12 months, have a dedicated bank account, and must not have applied for or received a Shanly Foundation award within the last 12 months.
How to apply
The General Applications Fund and the Training & Careers in Construction Fund are open throughout the year, while the Action Against Homelessness Fund opens once a year. The Foundation recommends submitting applications at least 10 weeks before a decision is needed. Interested organisations should apply online.Â
