The Cumber Family Charitable Trust supports grassroots organisations in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and developing countries.
For Oxfordshire charities, its priorities include the environment, agriculture and conservation, educational needs, welfare and housing, disability support and disease research.
The Trust prefers to fund long-term projects with measurable outcomes and is particularly interested in smaller organisations that may not have a wide reach, as well as projects that may not necessarily appeal to the general public.
How to apply
Applications must be sent in paper format and not by email. There is no formal application form, but applicants should include full contact details, including an email address, a clear outline of the project, and bank details for a UK bank account. First-time applicants should also include their latest annual report and accounts. Applications should be sent to: The Secretary, Cumber Family Charitable Trust, Manor Farm, Marcham, OX13 6NZ.
The Trust holds two meetings a year, in spring and autumn. Organisations that have already received funding will not be considered for further support until at least three years have passed since their last donation. Applications from individuals, non-charitable groups or non-charitable organisations are not accepted.
