FUNDING: The Sasha Foundation

May 26, 2026

The Sasha Foundation provides grants to established charitable organisations, that support young people affected by mental health or drug issues.

The Foundation also funds education and healthcare programmes in developing countries, with a particular interest in projects benefiting young women.

Grants are typically up to £10,000 and will usually cover no more than 50% of the total project or programme budget. Funded projects have included mentoring and skills support for young people not in education, employment or training, menstrual hygiene programmes helping girls stay in school, and support for vulnerable children living with extended family.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted in writing using the Sasha Foundation grant application form and can be sent by email or post to the Foundation’s accountants, Richardson Swift. Applicants must set out the expected outcomes of the project, how these will be measured, and how they will report back to trustees.

Trustees meet at least twice a year to consider applications, with annual deadlines of 1 April and 1 October. The next stated closing date is 1 October 2026. Applicants should not approach trustees directly about an application, as this may result in rejection.
