Pets at Home Foundation provides grants from £250 upwards to registered charities whose main activity is rescuing and rehoming domestic pets. Funding must have a direct impact on the welfare of domestic pets in rescue, and can support costs such as vet bills, boarding fees, trap and neuter schemes, food, animal care equipment, vehicles, utility bills and building work.
Applicants must have been operating for at least two years, have a board of at least three unrelated trustees or directors, and be able to provide financial information for a 12-month period. Charities must also have waited at least 12 months since receiving any previous Pets Foundation funding.
How to apply
Applications can be made at any time, although decisions on requests over £50,000 will be made in January 2027. One-off grants under £50,000 are reviewed throughout the year. Applicants should read the full criteria before contacting the Foundation for an application form.
