Small Charity Week is more than just another awareness campaign; it’s an important opportunity to celebrate the valuable contribution that small charities make to communities across the UK.
Over the past year, OCVA has worked alongside hundreds of local groups to help them thrive. We delivered more than 220 support calls and carried out nearly 150 funding searches, helping organisations secure the resources they need. Our training programme offered 21 high-quality, accessible courses attended by 170 people, equipping charity staff and volunteers with valuable skills and knowledge.
Volunteering remains a crucial part of the sector’s success. Through Oxfordshire Volunteers, 513 local residents registered their interest in volunteering, with 769 opportunities advertised on the platform.
Small charities face increasing challenges, from financial pressures to growing demand for their services. OCVA remains committed to empowering these organisations, helping them build resilience, strengthen their impact and ensuring their voices are heard. During Small Charity Week, we celebrate their achievements and will continue to support them every step of the way.
