FUNDING: Angus Irvine Playing Fields Fund

June 30, 2026

The Angus Irvine Playing Fields Fund supports local community groups and sports clubs that help young people in disadvantaged areas access sport.

Grants are typically £2,500 to £5,000 and can support facility improvements, youth sport programmes, volunteer training, sustainability work, coaching, and operational cost with the intention of growing capacity to reach more young people.

The fund is open to eligible groups in Greater Manchester, Oxfordshire, Greater London, and the West Midlands Combined Authority, with priority given to sports clubs. Projects must focus on young people aged 5 to 18 who may otherwise be excluded from sport.

Applications are reviewed quarterly in January, April, July and October.

Next window opens: Tuesday 30 June, 9 am

School-only projects and individuals are not eligible.
