The fund is designed to help UK registered charities work together on innovative, creative and original solutions to some of society’s most challenging problems. Projects can cover a wide range of themes, including health, wellbeing, families, children, environmental conservation, biodiversity, wildlife and animals, culture and heritage.

How to apply

Applications must come from a partnership of two to four organisations, with the lead partner being a registered charity with an income of at least £5 million. Other partners can include charities, universities, companies, local authorities, research institutes or other not-for-profit organisations. Projects must take place in Scotland, England, Wales or Northern Ireland and be ready to begin delivery within four weeks of a successful funding decision. The first stage is an online expression of interest, which must be submitted by 31 July 2026. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to submit a detailed business plan, with final presentations taking place in January 2027 and the winning project announced in March 2027.
