FUNDING: SNG Thriving Communities Fund

August 4, 2026

SNG’s Thriving Communities Fund is now open for applications, offering grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 to local groups working to improve wellbeing and create sustainable, inclusive communities.

A total of £100,000 will be awarded across two funding rounds:

  • Round one: 13 July to 18 September 2026
  • Round two: 9 November to 24 December 2026

This year, funding will focus on projects supporting:

  • Health, wellbeing and social inclusion
  • Community safety

Applications are particularly welcomed from organisations delivering projects in the Vale of White Horse, including Abingdon, Wantage and Didcot.

To be eligible, projects must:

  • Be delivered in a community where SNG has homes
  • Directly benefit SNG customers
  • Clearly demonstrate how SNG customers will be engaged and supported through the project

This is an “active apply” fund, which means organisations must apply directly through the ActionFunder platform. Applicants are encouraged to read the guidance carefully before applying, including information about funding priorities, eligible locations and the full eligibility criteria.
