Job title: Co-operative Development Worker 
Role summary:
Co-operative Futures is seeking a Co-operative Development Worker to support the development of co-operatives and community-owned businesses through advice, training and resources to help them start, grow and flourish. You’ll work with workers, communities and networks at local and national level, promote the co-operative model, contribute to research and policy work, and identify consultancy opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people and has a passion for co-operative values and community-led approaches. This mostly home-based role offers opportunities to develop new initiatives, manage projects and work collaboratively within a small, supportive team.
Job location (usual place of work): REMOTE
Pay Rate: £31,000 – £36,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time (37 Hours per week) We’re open to considering part-time hours.

Job description:
- Provide bespoke 1-2-1 business support – start up and existing co-operatives and social enterprises
- Promote the Cooperative model – through events and working with local networks
- Design and deliver training resources – support cooperatives develop
- Develop and research feasibility projects
- Build networks and links with local authorities, organisations, Community and VCSE groups
- Be involved in the national cooperative movement
- Manage your own projects – taking ownership of time and workload
- Identify and develop new consultancy and business opportunities
- Work closely with the director and share regular updates
