Job title: Community Engagement Lead 
Role summary:
Our Community Engagement Lead will have a focus on recruitment of new volunteers alongside volunteer retention, while also developing relationships with local organisations, groups, businesses to support sustainable volunteering and fundraising. As a new role, there will be the opportunity to develop the role using initiative, enthusiasm and positive attitude, while supported by a knowledgeable, experienced team and a project plan.
Job location (usual place of work): Britannia Road Children’s Centre, Banbury – majority of work to take part out in the community – Banbury, Bicester, Chipping Norton and surrounding villages
Pay Rate: £28,500 FTE (actual: £12,324 – £15,405)
Is pay pro rata: Yes

Hours: 16 – 20 hours per week (term-time only will be considered, but it will be necessary for some hours to be worked during evenings and weekends)

Job description:
• Volunteer marketing and recruitment – To identify opportunities to maintain and increase the number of volunteers, considering diversity and inclusion and creating further volunteering opportunities
• Volunteer support, training and development – Working with family support team to develop initial and ongoing training programmes that prepare volunteers for their role in supporting families with children under 5
• Engagement within the community – To develop and nurture links with local community organisations and corporate businesses to support sustainable volunteering and fundraising
The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post as detailed above.
